What obligations and rights does a guardian have?
The guardian only has the rights that are appointed by the court. The court tries to use the least intrusive means to take rights away from the ward. The obligations of the Guardian are to care for the ward and to file reports with the court. Guardianships are relatively expensive because of this supervision by the court however, if there's not a trusted family member and who will handle the affairs of the ward. A guardianship is a way of assuring their supervision.
